As a selected member of the Teach Plus National Teacher Policy Cabinet, Kelli engaged in an exclusive federal policy fellowship, partnering directly with the federal government and congressional leaders to drive national student achievement. Operating at the intersection of classroom reality and federal legislation, she advocated for teacher-driven solutions to advance educational equity. In this role, Kelli advised on the macro-level structures necessary to scale Multilingual Learner success, secure equitable funding, and translate federal mandates into actionable district-level outcomes.

During her tenure on the state executive board, Kelli served as the Scholarships, Grants, & Awards Chair, leading a comprehensive realignment of the organization's award criteria. In this governance role, she audited and realigned the scholarship frameworks to synchronize directly with core organizational goals and statewide educational vision, ensuring that all educator support initiatives were built on a foundation of rigorous, mission-driven policy.
